ABOUT US

Providing Safe Living Options for Seniors

Helping low-income seniors with placement and community resources is how DSS came about.  We believe that all valley seniors should be able to age with dignity and receive compassionate care.

DSS provides solutions for case managers, medical providers, and families by following our clients throughout their healthcare journey.

Our Founder

Patricia Day has spent over 20 years in healthcare—beginning as a Respiratory Therapist and later working in hospice—she founded DSS to help families navigate the complexities of aging with dignity. This mission is deeply personal to her, as it was born out of the challenges she faced while advocating for her father during his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Her ongoing dedication to helping families navigate the complexities of dementia led her to obtain her Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) credential through the NCCDP. This certification reflects a commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the quality of life for dementia patients.

Her focus remains on finding sustainable solutions for seniors with complex behaviors, particularly those who have experienced prior placement failures. She values collaboration and supports our valley's hospitals and the families they serve.

-Kevin C.

I want to thank you for all you have done for my sister.  I could never have brought together all the resources you did in such a short time.

Thank you very much. You made not only my sister's life easier but mine as well.
